Can window film be installed on impact windows?
Often, but not automatically. Most impact windows use laminated glass, and some films can add heat stress or affect the window warranty. We identify the glass make-up first and only recommend film and glass combinations the manufacturer approves.
Is window film hurricane protection?
No. Window film is not a hurricane-rated product and does not replace impact windows or shutters. Safety and security film can help hold broken glass together, but it should never be presented as hurricane protection.
Will my condo association or HOA approve window tint?
Many South Florida associations limit reflective or very dark film. We recommend neutral, low-reflective films and provide product data sheets and samples so you can get board approval before installation.
